Each member embraces our vision of creating a world-class organization that will lead the worldwide fight against Brain Aneurysms, lends particular expertise and experience to governing The Lisa Colagrossi Foundation, and agrees not only to provide time and financial assistance, but also to advocate for our mission and broaden our sphere of influence and support. Together, they represent the best of the best and are dedicated to helping TLCF achieve its mission and we won't stop until we are successful.

Founder and Executive Director
Todd has over 30 years of marketing, sales, operations and public relations experience as an executive with The Walt Disney Company, ESPN/ABC Sports, Indy Racing League and Wasserman Media. He conceptualized The Lisa Colagrossi Foundation shortly after the loss of his wife, Lisa Colagrossi, to a ruptured Brain Aneurysm in March, 2015. The foundation was launched in September, 2015. He holds a bachelors degree in Business Administration from Northwood University in Midland, Michigan and is from Frankenmuth, Michigan.

Viacom Media Networks
Valerie is an Executive Vice President, Partner Solutions, for Viacom Media Networks. Val runs a sales team across Viacom’s Music, Entertainment, and Kids & Family brands, across all platforms, including linear, digital, and social. Prior to joining Viacom, Valerie was the Director of Business Development at DoubleClick, and created partnership agreements and lead digital sales efforts for some of the largest branded publishers in the digital space. Previous to DoubleClick, Val held positions at Fox Channels Group, Ammirati Puris Lintas, and N.W. Ayer & Partners. Valerie lost her mother, Lenore Darmanin, to a Brain Aneurysm rupture when she was just 12 years old.

Institutional Advancement – The National September 11 Memorial and Museum
Cathy joined the National September 11 Memorial & Museum in the fall of 2006. Along with Chairman Michael Bloomberg, Mayor of New York City, she has helped spearhead fundraising for the 9/11 Memorial & Museum for both the capital campaign and for operational and program development. She is also the CEO of CBlaney Group (formerly Cathy Blaney & Associates), a nationally recognized fundraising firm in the political and not-for-profit world. Most recently, Cathy is continuing fundraising and developing partnerships with several different initiatives that are partnered with Bloomberg Philanthropies. She received her law degree from St. John’s University and a B.A. in Political Science and Sociology from Fordham University.

Kate is the Global Managing Director of the healthcare practice at Ogilvy PR. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing the firm’s overall healthcare and pharmaceutical public relations business including consumer health and biotechnology. Kate has particular expertise in leading integrated communications accounts that involve multiple disciplines. With more than 25 years experience in the public relations arena, Kate has provided strategic counsel for clients such as Pfizer, Novartis, Johnson & Johnson and Bristol-Myers Squibb. She has led communications for these companies on product launches, events, rebranding, issues and crisis management, grass roots efforts as well as stakeholder mapping.

Tommie is a former American football defensive tackle who played eight seasons in the National Football League. He played college football for the University of Oklahoma, and was recognized as a consensus All-American twice. He was a three-time, NFL Pro-Bowl selection.

Ogilvy Public Relations
Kristin is Senior Vice President with Ogilvy and has specialized in consumer and health communications for nearly 20 years. Over the course of her career, she has developed and launched PR campaigns that were recognized by the PR industry with awards such as the PRSA’s Silver Anvil, PR News’ Platinum Award and the Holmes Report’s Sabre. In addition, the women’s health campaign Kristin and her team created for Bayer was awarded the “Best Marketing Campaign of the Year” for Bayer globally and later became a company case study shared at external marketing and sales meetings.
In addition to her women’s health work, Kristin has developed professional and consumer health campaigns for professional organizations and advocacy groups. Some representative campaigns included: an anemia awareness campaign for the National Kidney Foundation, a new children’s fiber initiative for AAP and a cancer awareness campaign on behalf of Kellogg Cereals and the American Cancer Society.

Five-time Emmy Award winner Sukanya is the lead anchor of PIX11 Morning News, which airs weekdays from 5-9am. PIX11 is Tribune Broadcasting’s flagship station in New York. Sukanya joined PIX11 News as a reporter in 2001, and in 2004, was named anchor of PIX11 Morning News, a position she has held ever since, chronicling the biggest national and local stories over the last decade. Krishnan was the first South Asian anchor in local morning news in the No. 1 market.<
Professor, Vice Chair of Neurosurgery NYU Langone
Director, The Lisa Colagrossi Foundation Medical Advisory Board
Howard is Professor and Vice Chair of the Department of Neurosurgery as well as Director of the Neurosurgery Residency Training Program and Director of Endovascular Neurosurgery at New York University Langone Medical Center. He was born in Brooklyn, New York. He received undergraduate degrees from both Franklin and Marshall College and the University of Pennsylvania in a dual degree 5-year bioengineering program in 1987. He graduated from Temple University School of Medicine in 1993. Between his third and forth years of medical school he obtained an M.Phil in Biology (molecular neurobiology) from the University of Cambridge. He completed his surgical internship and trained in neurological surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania with Drs. Eugene S. Flamm and M. Sean Grady. Dr.Riina has completed three fellowships: Diagnostic Neuroradiology with Robert Grossman, M.D. at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Interventional Neuroradiology with Alejandro Berenstein, M.D., at the Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery Beth Israel Medical Center, and Cerebrovascular and Skull Base Surgery with Robert F. Spetzler, M.D. at the Barrow Neurological Institute.
Dr. Riina specializes in the surgical and endovascular treatment of cerebrovascular disorders of the brain and spinal cord. He has particular interest in the treatment of intracranial aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations of the brain and spinal cord. He has also been involved in new treatments for acute stroke. Most recent interests involve the development of new minimally invasive devices and treatments for cerebrovascular and skull base disorders as well as intra-arterial chemotherapy for recurrent malignant brain tumors.

Applegate Seven, LLC
Bruce Albert formed Applegate Seven in 2008 to provide strategic, funding and marketing communications counsel to early and growth stage companies driven by technology. He is currently an executive advisor to Progress Partners, Eleven SA (Brussels), O’Donnell Group/Café Learn, Gingee Games (Tel Aviv), Game Cloud and Meemo. Bruce is also a volunteer advisor to the Peacemaker Corps, a United Nations, NGO dedicated to facilitating non-violent conflict resolution, self-reliance and tolerance education among the youth in the United States and around the world.
Bruce played leading roles in business development, M&A, forming and reengineering agencies, and executing market entry strategies, domestically and abroad. His work on multi-national brands in the United States, Europe and Asia-Pacific enables Bruce to provide global clients with country-specific and pan-regional intelligence and perspectives that are critical to launching, scaling and monetizing their businesses.
